Use Tako on the web
Open Tako Converter in your browser, or choose it from the Tako app hub. Clock and Calendar are coming soon. The iOS link on the converter page opens the Tako Convert listing; its public release is pending.
The web converter saves your amounts, currency order, theme and rates in this browser. It does not synchronize with the iOS app. Clearing this website’s browser data removes the saved converter. After an initial online visit finishes saving the web app, it can reopen offline in browsers that support service workers. Saved reference rates remain usable for up to seven days. If your browser clears website data or blocks offline storage, reconnect to load the app again.
Choose your currencies
Tap + to search by currency code or name. Swipe a currency card to remove it. Hold its flag or code to drag it into a different position. On the web, click the flag or code for move and delete actions, or focus it and use the up/down arrow keys to reorder and Delete to remove it.
Change the amount or base currency
Tap the amount in any row and enter a new value. That row becomes the source for the other conversions. The Done button (or Enter on the web) finishes editing; the native clear button clears the entered amount.
Refresh rates
Pull down on the converter to check for daily reference rates. Refresh attempts are limited to once every ten minutes, including after restarting the app. Failed requests and server limits can delay retries further.
Use saved rates offline
Previously saved rates work offline for up to seven days from their observation date. If a rate is unavailable, connect to the internet and refresh when the cooldown permits. Observation dates and provider details are under + → More → Source. On the web, the Source page also has a Refresh rates button.
Change appearance
Open + → More → Theme to choose System, Light or Dark. The app supports the device’s Dynamic Type settings.
Why do my bank’s rates differ?
Tako Convert uses Frankfurter’s daily reference rates. Banks, card providers and cash exchanges may use different rates and charge fees. The app’s results are estimates, not a quote to buy or sell currency.
