Privacy policy

Effective October 26, 2026

Tako Convert does not collect personal information or usage analytics through the app. It contains no advertising, purchases, accounts or tracking SDKs.

Data on your device

Your currency list and its order, the last entered amount, theme preference, cached exchange rates and refresh cooldown are stored in the app’s private device storage. The app excludes that storage from cloud backups. No currency selections, entered amounts, device identifiers or interaction histories are transmitted to us. Deleting the app deletes its local storage.

Web converter

The converter at /converter stores your currency list and its order, source amount, theme, cached rates and refresh cooldown in this browser’s local storage. This data is separate from the iOS app and is not synchronized between devices. The web app also caches its public pages, scripts, icons and flags for offline use. Clearing this website’s data removes the saved converter and offline files. Browser and device backup settings may apply; the web app cannot exclude browser data from backups.

Web conversions happen on your device. Amounts and currency selections are not sent to our server or the rate provider. The website has no accounts, analytics or advertising scripts.

Exchange-rate requests

When opened or pulled down to refresh, subject to its cooldown, the app requests a shared table from api.frankfurter.dev. The request contains no user-entered information, account or device identifier, amount or selected currency list.

The network service necessarily receives connection information to return the response. Frankfurter’s published privacy policy states that it does not retain personal data, IP addresses or request URLs, and that its infrastructure uses Cloudflare caching and DDoS protection.

The app does not operate a separate user-data server and does not poll in the background.

Permissions

The app does not request access to contacts, location, photos, microphone, camera or advertising identifiers.

Support emails and this website

If you choose to email support, we receive the information you send and use it to respond to your enquiry. Email is handled by our email provider. Please avoid sending sensitive financial information.

These pages contain no added analytics or advertising scripts. The web converter requests the same anonymous, date-bounded reference-rate table as the iOS app, with a saved ten-minute refresh cooldown. Your browser connects directly to the rate provider. Our website host processes the network information needed to serve the pages. This website is separate from the device-only storage used by the app.
